Ricotta is one of my family’s favorite ingredients. I made a cannoli filling and smashed some ice cream wafer rolls to use as chips and sauce – it was an instant hit! It is also well served slightly warm. Ann Marie Eberhart, Gig Harbor, Washington

1 box (15 ounces) whole milk ricotta cheese
3/4 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 tablespoon finely chopped candied citron
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
Mini ice cream sugar cones
Miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
Whisk together the ricotta cheese, sugar, candied fruits and lemon zest.
If desired, scoop the ricotta mixture into cones and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
